Aging Forward meets the 3rd Saturday of each month April - September with speakers to promote lifelong learning and fellowship for retired adults.

On September 18th we'll feature info on the new Railroad Museum coming to Fort Scott!

We are glad you are visiting our site.

At First United Methodist, we believe God's grace surrounds us at all times and places. When we recognize and respond to that, we begin to receive the gift and grow in hope, peace, joy, and love.

We live in difficult and confusing times and often find it hard to know what to pray for or how to pray. Our current series "Love One Another" is about how we see each other a neighbors, rather than "othering" people. How we live an interact like Jesus' example. The prophet Micah said "He has shown you, O Mortal, what is good..." and we see that even more clearly in Jesus. We are called to act justly, to love mercy, to walk humbly! We look forward to sharing the journey with you!

No matter where you are on your walk of faith, you are invited to find community together in worship Sundays at 10:30am in person or online! We mix a relaxed atmosphere with inspiring, spirit-filled, traditional worship.

Prior to that we have Sunday School groups for all ages at 9:30am with a variety of studies, discussions and fellowship opportunities. Come check it out!

Pastor Christopher Eshelman shares sermons based on Scripture and illustrated with art, photos, and the occassional video clip.
